New Shoes

If you are an avid runner, you are supposed to get new shoes every 300 - 500 miles. I may have waited a little longer than that (okay...a lot longer than that). But today I bought some new shoes. This is the second pair of Mizunos I've bought and LOVE them. Compared to the other brands I've tried, these shoes feel like socks!

I purchase my shoes at Big River Running Company. It's a small running store in Ballwin, MO that happened to "move in" the same week we moved to MO. So I feel a little endeared to them! Beyond that, I love their commitment to the running community and their excitement for the sport.

Something about new shoes makes me excited to break them in!

Speed work tomorrow! I'll let you know how that goes...in my new shoes!

I bought new shoes today too!! I went to the runner's forum in carmel, IN and they gave mizuno's too! I had never heard of them, but ran in them tonight and love them! How funny.

Runner's Forum was my shoe store when we lived there!!! The owners are awesome and their mini-marathon training group (TFL Training) is great! Good choice! On the shoes and the shopping!

OK - I just bought my first pair this past weekend and I have a big question. My shoes are "moderate stability" so I guess they keep my feet from turning inward...is that why my little toes are so sore? Is it because I am running more on the outer part of my foot and I will get used to it...or should I take them back? I've worn them 3 times so far.
