
So I'm not a huge fan of alcohol. Every once in awhile I enjoy an amaretto sour at a restaurant, a sip of my husband's beer, or a fruity fun drink with some friends. Just last night I had a glass of wine with my dinner.
Really I guess I'm just a tight wad and can't bring myself to spend $5 - $7 on a DRINK. A drink that doesn't really hydrate you.
Then last night I got a phone call from client saying she needed to cancel tomorrow's session because she knew she would need to "sleep off" her night the next morning.
This is a client who does NOT understand why she can't lose the weight. Not only is her drink of choice high in calories, it's how her body reacts to the alcohol.
Alcohol can increase your appetite and lower your testosterone levels for up to 24 hours after you finish drinking.
Drinking alcohol messes with our hormones. It makes it nearly impossible to metabolize fat for up to 3 days!!!!
So if you want to lose the beer belly...lay off the booze!
