Opening Ceremonies

So I am VERY excited about the Olympics this year. In times past I've watched the Track & Field events and some other random events, but this year I'm really getting into the Olympics as a whole.

We're watching the Opening Ceremonies and are amazed at the production China is putting on.

I can also be excited about the events for a reason this year. When I was running cross-country and track in HS, there was another runner at another school that I was privileged to "compete" with. Yeah. It wasn't really competition. It was more like I watched her get farther and farther away from me and a majority of the other runners. Amy Yoder (now Amy Begley)ran for a school near me and I got to be at many races with her. It was nothing short of a joy to watch her run. When she graduated I watched her run a race for Arkansas live. And this year I get to watch her run the 10K on TV in the OLYMPICS!!! I'm so excited. I have a PERSON to root for this year.
