One World Running

I always have a huge problem with getting new shoes every 300-500 miles. Because for me that's just about every 4 months. I'll be honest and say that I never get shoes that often. Mostly because they're expensive and I'm cheap. But also because I am not a waster and I feel like when I get my new shoes my old ones (which are still great shoes) are wasted. When I had a lawn, the old running shoes became lawn mowing shoes. Now I don't have a lawn and they stay in my closet until I eventually Goodwill them.

Well now I have found a solution: One World Running. This is an organization that will take your gently worn sneakers and send them overseas to nations that need them. Not only does this organization donate the sneakers, but they use them to promote the awareness of health, fitness and running across the globe. When they donate the sneakers they host a race. Pretty fun.

You can check them out here.

And you can send your shoes here:

One World Running
958 Cherry Vale Rd.
Boulder, CO 80303

If your shoes are too beat up to send to someone else(which often times mine are), you can send them to Nike to grind up to be used for tracks or playgrounds.
