Celebrity

I am constantly reminded that I work for a celebrity.

I was at the Y this morning and the person in front of me had the last name "Doran". I asked her if she was related to Daryl (my boss) to which she replied, "No, but I get asked that ALL the time." When I told her I worked for him, the guy right beside me just about peed his pants. He went on and on about what an amazing soccer player Daryl was and how he never missed a game that Daryl played in. He knew all the records my boss holds and every team he'd played for. He was very curious to hear what Daryl was doing now and almost wanted to shake my hand because I work for his hero everyday.

I'm pretty lucky to work for the people I do. Not only do I get to work under a great trainer, but him and his wife Barb are so generous with their employees.

I'm pretty lucky to be where I am.

Great blogging lately! I love all the great tips and stuff. Tonight, for V-day, I am going to Dick's to get my 1st "real" running gear - synthetic socks and an ear band. I know, it's not much, but for a newby like me it is a big step. Also, the trainer of the running club I am in suggested this stuff that looks like a stick of deo. He puts it on his feet everytime he runs to prevent blisters and puts it on his cheeks and nose when it's cold out. I don't know if I can use something that works on both your face and your feet...
