I've been dreading this post. We've had a crazy busy summer and one thing led to another and it's been nearly 6 weeks since my last post. So now it's time to get back on the bus. The blogging bus.
It's so hard to get back into something when we stop for a period of time isn't it? Exercise and a healthy diet are EXACTLY the same way! 1 "cheat/rest" day turns into 1 week turns into 1 month. It's tough.
When I was a junior in college I sprained my ankle (crutches for 3 weeks) the night before the regional meet. Needless to say I was out for the rest of the season. THEN a few months later I was getting married. THEN I had to settle down and figure out this married-people thing. So six months later I realized I'd never been in worse shape! Trying to start running again in the heat of KY summer was grueling. And I had a really encouraging coach.
Here I am getting back on the blogging bus. So after you take your relaxing vacation on the beach/boat/etc. Get back on the bus. And know that it will only get easier!

I didn't know you got out of shape in college - I thought you were running solid since highschool...hmmm...she's human after all! :)
I am not a good pregnancy exerciser. The puking just seems to get in the way of fitness. So, getting "back on the bus" this last time was killer. I started training for the mini by running 2 min on the treadmill at a time. Do you remember when I called you ecsatatic because I had run 2 miles without stopping?! It was so painful, but looking back (25 pounds less and about 500 miles later) it was so worth it. thanks for all the encouragement, Rach - I had a great coach too!
