So I've been reading up a bit on nutrition. Seems I don't get enough calories. I burn a TON in my workouts and because exercise is a natural appetite suppressor (after you hit a certain point) I just am not hungry all the time. Not to mention I chase two critters around the house all day and don't really make time to sit down and have a great hearty meal.
So here are 8 "super foods" that we should consume daily:
1. Spinach - Noted muscle builder, omega-3s and folate (prevents osteoporosis ladies).
Bonus? Increases blood flow to the nether regions, helping to protect against age-related sexual issues. Way to go Popeye!
2. Yogurt - Probiotics (boosts immune system and helps protect against cancer)
3. Tomatoes - Lycopene - Decrease risk of bladder, lung, prostate, skin & stomach cancer. And decreases risk of coronary artery disease.
4. Carrots - Reduction in wide range of cancers and inflammatory conditions (arthritis, asthma)
5. Blueberries - Stuffed with antioxidants and helps prevent age-related memory changes (brainberries)
6. Black Beans - Improves brain function!
7. Walnuts - Omega-3s, anti-inflammatory, muscle building protein.
8. Oats - Lots of fiber, lots of protein. Oats provide steady, muscle friendly energy. My friend Randall eats these every day. Must be why he's so energetic.
So let us get over our taste buds! I know too many people who don't consume these things because they don't enjoy eating them. Food is fuel. Not enjoyment.

I heard that Randall eats a Strawberry Banana Shake every morning for breakfast.
