Are you Addicted?

I recently came across these questions verifying if you are truly an exercise addict. Just to clarify, the article I read suggested that exercise addiction was an unhealthy thing. Maybe I'm in denial, but our bodies were CREATED for exercise. We were created to move and run and walk and work to get our food. So I encourage exercise addictions, unless it gets in the way of your relationships. Those should always come first.

Here's how I answered the following questions:

1)Have I missed a social event because I felt the need to exercise instead?
NO. I just get up earlier.

2)Do friends and family feel neglected because I am frequently exercising instead of spending time with them?
I don't think so. But my kids LOVE the Y hub.

3)Do I feel guilty when I miss a planned workout? yes.

4)Does missing a workout make me feel irritable and ruin my day? Sometimes.

5)Do I feel anxious when I think something will interfere with scheduled workouts? Not anxious, but I typically form my day around my workouts.

6)Do I feel that my physical condition will be compromised if I don’t exercise for one day? NO.

So how would you respond? Are you an addict?

I had all "yes" answers - but only because I am training! Post-training life goes back to normal, I promise!
